...You too, huh?
liliaofthevalley: ([Smile] You'll notice it)

Us, too.

Did you see much of that weapon I wielded, during the execution?

I did. That green thing with flowers all over it.

Yes, that. My Magearm.

The green stone was magestone. So something like this:

[He takes out his magic pen, the green gemstone fitted into it glittering in the light.]

Meanwhile, the flowers were made of a material called Mysterium - a metal that can be manipulated with magic. Both were plentiful in Briarland, so people really went wild with the designs.

Wow... That's so cool. I can't even imagine what you could do with metal you can do anything you want with.

[ Her smile turns a little sad, though, given the topic of their conversation. ]

Does anything like that still exist back home?
liliaofthevalley: ([Neutral] Adieu; adieu)

[personal profile] liliaofthevalley 2025-09-07 06:02 am (UTC)(link)
...No. Not anymore.

A long, long time ago, humans discovered the wealth of materials available in our lands. And so, despite our every attempt to prevent it, they came and took the land for themselves.

I’m sorry.

[ She bows her head, hands clasped together. ]

To have lost your home like that… I can’t even imagine.

Not just our home. Our queen and her consort, as well.

It was a complete and utter loss. [And, with a soft laugh:] I may have formerly acted as general, but officially, I have no titles. There is no mention of any "Lilia Vanrouge" in my nation's textbooks, either.

But it's likely for the best. Slowly but surely, humans and fae are learning to exist in the same lands together. So, at the very least, our world isn't under as much a threat as yours.

[Humans come and go so quickly... so long as the fae don't mention it, their human counterparts have no knowledge of the war their kind once waged against their current neighbors.

If it means keeping that peace, Lilia is content with being forgotten by history.
